At the helm of the distillery are two friends, spirit-enthusiasts and proud Tennesseans who embody the Southern spirit of boldness and adventure paired with tradition and refinement.

The founders shared an interest in homebrewing and the ability to explore flavor profiles, and they sought to deepen their knowledge through craft distilling. With a love for gin and its nuanced flavors, the two explored a “homemade” gin by incorporating various southern-grown botanicals in a neutral vodka in an attempt to craft something along the lines of a gin. 

Once they found their flavor, they enlisted the help of a contract distiller to help them actualize their gin and create their own unique recipe. Alongside the early gin experiments, Mike and Michael ideated a citrus-based vodka to celebrate various Southern fruits and bring forward the gentle, natural flavors and aromas that could remain even after filtration.

Both the Southern Gin and the Southern Vodka are standalone products enjoyed neat or on the rocks, and they mix brightly into cocktails. Whether you’re mixing gin & tonic for a crowd on a backyard summer night or pouring up a vodka martini for two, drinking it from a bottle on a seaside picnic or tying one up in a bow as a gift for a friend, our hope is that you’ll make our spirits, yours.
